Reviews & Discussion

Review by somebedroomdj May 27, 2008
Well this is a straight up classic and I think it has aged pretty well. With the possible exception of the No Copyright record, I think this may just be the best record that Bloody Fist ever released. Most of the break-oriented tracks that came out on this label were more jungle oriented and, by today's standards, had fairly simple drum programming. But things get fairly mashed on this album and what I really like about it is that there is a nice dose of rip-your-head-off speedcore thrown in.

Mostly good tracks on here but, if I had to pick three, I'd go for "Resident Evil", "Homemade Bomb" and "Killmonkey Eatmonkey." The latter of the three is one of the most aggressive tracks I've ever heard. It starts off with a sample of some talking heads rambling about how you have to hook kids on television while they're young and then drops a screaming "Fuck You!" sample leading into some ~300bpm business.

'Smallfry' is one of the best songs ever to do dance to. 'Out Cunting' is excellent for stomping to. 'Homemade Bomb' is the best track on the record, 'Supply Module' is almost as good. 'Calavera' has a descending feel to it. 'Kill Monkey Eat Monkey' is exhausting.
'Swimming Liver Drunk' sent me a bit wierd for a few weeks but it's all good now. 'Regular Crite' is great and so is 'Phasers to Kill' especially for a hardcore track.
