A sublime 4 track EP of experimental, breakbeat drum n bass showcasing the honed production skills of the beat-jedi that is Equinox!

"Acid Rain" was an old Equinox track produced back in 1996. With the "VIP (Breakage Final Chapter Mix)" Mr Boyle cleans up the rawness of the original whilst still remaining true to it's predessesors vibe. Minimal atmospherics accompany the hard-hitting "Amen" edits and murky bass line. Whilst this remix does the business, I personally believe the original to be the definitive version.

"Breakestra Ting" takes us on a journey into the science lab of Marlon Sterling. Utilising a drum sample from contemporary funk band "Breakestra" as the splintering foundation for the track, Equinox takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride through windchimes, pads, atmospherics and fx. The result is a perfect combination of layered, musicality and 21st century breakbeat science!

"Do You Understand Me?" features cut-ups of both the "Apache" and "Amen" breaks whilst using samples of the "Mentasm" synth stab, gifting the track an intentional Old Skool aesthetic. We're in pure brock-out 'Amenism' territory here so it's no wonder that the track has been going down a storm at 'Technicality'. That said, "Do You Understand Me?" is sure to become a future classic in Drum n Bass!

The final track, "Forgiving", is a beat freaks nirvana! The jazzy, obscure breaks tumble, roll and stutter their way through the underground vibes, leaving the listener breathless, but wanting for more! Various synth lines add breadth to the track, but it's Equinox's virtual drumming that's the icing on the cake here.
