A tremendously invigorating, intelligent, FUN, satisfying, funky, danceable, and highly melodic cross-over of breaks, electro and dub-step (and more besides).

Yes, this guy is about as good as Burial, I'd say. Just for different reasons, Falty DL is all about melodies, and bloody hell I'm glad to be able to say THAT for a change (sitting through the Dance Paradox three times is pure frustration for me, this is just bliss by comparison).

"The Shape Has Come" sounds like a kinda-braindance/IDM/electro/Chris Clark tune, only without annoying IDM tricks, and a decent melody. "Dionysos" is an irresistable dub-step mini-marathon, with spacy, plipping synth melodies and Burial-esque vocals strains. Love the 'chip' melodies too. Talking of Burial, "Eniua" recalls his style, being a little more atmospheric, relying on space and reverb with subdued synth strains and reverb-drenched handclaps. "To New York" is a completely fantastic garage-infused something-step tune, with delicious "chip" synths, and more vocal hits.

Not going to spoil any more tracks, they're all great, and I don't think there's a single dud on the album. It's full of what I could only describe as a perfect marriage of electronica production and composition, neither veering too far into 'dancefloor wank', nor 'production wank'. In fact I couldn't accuse it of ever doing either. It's always full of ideas, never comes across as pretentious for the sake of it, and... you know what? Most importantly, it's just a whole lot of fucking FUN to listen to. And at times, emotionally resonant, usually when the synths and vocals collide.

Highly recommended to just about ANYONE that enjoys electronic music, or any open-minded listeners.
