Fantastic album! Best big beat album released in my opinion, this is nothing short of magic. And sure it may be a more mainstream production than 'Better Living Through Chemistry' but 'You've Come...' deserves every minute it has gotten in the limelight - a fantsatic album and a must for any fan of big beat, breakbeat or simply EDM.

Possibly the quintessential LP of the Big Beat movement of the late 1990s. This is some serious music, that has stood the test of time pretty damn well, and is the ultimate party album of all time!

Opens with the epic 'Right Here, Right Now', that you may have heard on countless commercials, is a journey full of strings, subtle ambience and the commanding female voice yelling "Right Here, Right Now, Right Here, Right Now, Right Here, Right Now, Right Here, Right Now, Right Here Here Here Here!".

'Rockerfeller Skank' meanwhile is very OTT, with the classic 'Funk Soul Brother Hook', and lots of silly samples including 5 seconds of a rather loud siren going off to the tune of the Just Brothers' 'Sliced Tomatoes'.

Freddy Fresh "unofficially" cameos in 'In Heaven' with the rather silly phase "Fatboy Slim is f-ing in Heaven" repeated over 100 times to an ultra-funkee beat, while 'Gangster Trippin' is classic carnival hip-hop, that is bound to shake booties.

Other songs include 'Kalifornia' with Fatboy Slim himself providing the vocorded hook of "California is druggy, druggy, druggy, druggy" with a strong acid house influence, More funkers with 'Build It Up, Tear It Down', 'Soul Surfing', 'You're Not From Brighton' and the funky house offering of 'Love Island'.

This LP has the Top-40 #1 Smash Hit 'Praise You', that everybody knows and ends on a high with more acid grooves with 'Acid 8000'.

Overall, this is the Big Beat sound at is peek, and Fatboy's best album (despite my personal fave being his previous 'Better Living Through Chemistry'), if you want to get into the Big Beat sound, this is a good place to start.

Eh, not my style of electronic, but pretty ok. It is a very mainstream album, considering the popularity of two of the songs in the US. Nonetheless, it is an alright album, though far from my favorite by leaps and bounds.

This is a very good release for those of you who enjoy good housey stuff that'll make your toes tap. He goes sample crazy on a lot of the songs, but that seems to be his style. The over-usage of samples might get slightly tiresome, but the album has a lot of memorable points on it. 'The Rockafeller Skank' and 'Praise You' (the album's two singles) are both defiantely very good tracks, although the former goes on a bit too long. A good solid 7/10.

not really my advice... I think that Rockafella skank is one of this rare tracks wich can blow up every party in evry street of evrywhere in the world.
Ok: now, that sounds commercial, marketed, targeted, but this is not highly minded music; remember it's perhaps the only electronic lethal weapon you've got in your collection to make everybody rising their hand during your heavy dully party of specialist.

Have to agree with Illabadilla on all accounts. I thought "Praise You" was depressing and "Rockafella" skank was just annoying. The other singles I quite liked, and all the other tracks are very good, but "Acid 8000" is just incredible - his best track by far IMHO.
Buy it if you don't already own it - its well cheap now.

This album has the two tracks that made Fatboy slim famous: "Praise You" and "The Rockafella Skank." These are the two worst songs that Fatboy Slim ever made. Their annoying and boring. This album, however, is not a total loss. The best tracks on it are "Love Island" and "Acid 8000"
