Some days ago, at night, I was a bit bored by "minimal techno" news I was listening to. Too much things sound too "heavy", too much details here and there, so your mind don't even know where to fix, too "funky funky" hidden behind a "minimal" mask. So, I checked the discography of some of my favourite artists, and I discovered this free EP by Fax.
I re-discovered what less is more means in dance music. It's pure, airy, with just the right amount of click/bass to hypnotize. I'm not a fan of the digital-only format, but, sometimes, netlabels offer quality. Idioma should get the honor of being pressed, just for the last track, Cian. The minimalist bass melody is elegant, bewitching, spooky, with some fresh repetitiv shy pads and the right amount of clicky things. Cian is how I like my dance music : the main attention brought to a subtle kick/bass combination, everything in a minimalistic way.
