Filo & Peri - Elevation / Juicy

The song Elevation will to me always stand as one of the greatest works this side of melodic trance has ever seen. That goes without saying that this goes far beyond Filo & Peri's vapid, more recent productions like Anthem which I feel lack the inspiring breakdowns, re-play desire, and attention to nuance that their earlier songs provide.

Elevation puts its listeners out of orbit. The piano melody that is introduced a couple of minutes into the song is filled with emotion. The song's break in the middle is spellbinding: the pads fill the room with an airy presence and your imagination takes you miles above the Earth's blue atmosphere. Elevation will likely not make you want to get up and dance so much, but its purpose as a fast-paced, but very chilled tune, is well accomplished. In terms of a song that will put you in a place where you are at ease and you carefree, this song is prime material. 5 out of 5.
