Stumbled over this song @CBS's top 100 list for 2006. I had completely forgotten this awesome masterpiece. How could i forget this!? I remember listening to this on casette's, but I think I never catched the name of the song. Great build up with deep bassline and sensual vocals, a really dirty and sexy song. I can't see no reason why they shouldn't play this song nowadays. Perfect music that will never grow old.

This record is a must have & true it is one of the most influential dance records ever made. Miss Kitten & Felix Da Housecat sampled it for the main hook in silver screen shower scene. Thus kicking off the whole electroclash movement & kickstarting a whole new sound in post 90's dance music. However anyone who really wants to know where the synthesized disco sound Bobby O "invented" came from please check out the true originator Patrick Cowley. Stolen or borrowed it really is upto the listener. However check out menergy by Cowley which was produced in 1980 & you can hear the sound Bobby O used for most of his disco producing career. Sadly Cowley passed away but not before making some of the most important electronic records ever.

I have the same record. But with another label in the middle. it's not the same as all the ones shown here. It's the well-known red and pink Ramshorn label. Does anyone know if there's a difference with the other ones? Catalog number is the same, as well as the tracks. Cover of the 12" shows the Flirts, just like on the album that was released in the Netherlands. The single has the same cover.

This track is so classic. One of Bobby Orlando's best productions and as fresh today as it was in 1982, possibly even fresher on the dancefloor since so many of today's partgoers have not been properly introduced and yet are more prepared to appreciate Bobby's dynamic sound. Hunt this down if you want to get the sophisticated ladies on the floor.

A lovely long italo-meets-house track with a flowing deep bassline and sensual vocals. The disctorted acid-line throughout is used in Felix Da Housecat's Silver Screen Shower Scene. This track fits into a modern house / electro house set no problems!!

Felix Da Housecat 'used' this bassline and guitarriff for his release "Silver Screen, Shower Scene".

Influenced by Rod Stewart's "Passion", this was a much better interpretation of seedy, sexy dance music. This song is great with electro-clash sets!

If there's one record which u could describe as one of the sexiest, dirtiest record on the dancefloors ever, then it's this "High Energy"-record from the early 80's. Producer Bobby Orlando created this monster in 1982 and it's impact is comparable with his Divine-productions from around that same area.

Before 1982 there weren't that many "Disco"-records which were entirely created with synthesizers and drumcomputers. It was (almost) always created with live instruments such as guitars and for example real horns. This record is completely electronic (maybe only the percussion is live) and it is the blueprint for many Italo-records which followed afterwards. Also the Hotmix 5 guys from Chicago were canning it heavily in their mid-80's radio-shows.

How Bobby Orlando did it: i don't know, but his sound has never been surpassed by others. Whenever u hear his productions, u'll always recognise his sound. He produced also the very early version of Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls" be4 they went more "commercial".

"Passion" will stand the test of time and is a classic: search it and buy it if u have the opportunaty. Great sound and still playable. 10 outta 10 and one of my alltime top 5's.
