When asked what dub techno means to me, this release immediately comes to mind. I can't think of a single other release that represents the style as well as this one. Mr. Soublis has an ear like no other for deep sounds, and the repetition is hypnotizing in every essence of the word. You'll find beatless ambience (Aviation, Subliminal Tone), and head-bobbing subliminal gems (Outerside, Prospect II). But I find the climax of this record to be Bipolar Defect, a track that inspires the most vivid closed-eye imagery i have ever dug from the truncheons of my head. In my current state, I can tell my review does this record zero justice whatsoever, but trust me when I tell you that within minutes of listening you will be lulled into a world of frozen, evocative, infinite splendor. You'll transcend time and space without leaving your bed.

This second release by fluxion seems to peel off more abstact layers and thrusts you into a central core that can only be explained as erethreal and sublime. The closest feeling you can get to an out of body experience through music. If that even seems possible, just listen to the entirety of this luscious gem (and you will see what i'm getting at). It's simply an overwhelming experience to take the entire 2-disc journey on in one single session (but it's worth it)! This is truly an ambient-dubby asthetic mind circa that should be had by all!

What can I say? Very, very good doube disc release with unreleased material on both cd's. Nature elements, dubby and techno rhythms are floating in the space Fluxion has created as if it is a natural process that doens't need an explanation. Fluxion has those very abstract hihats in a lot of releases, what makes me totally hooked up to all his releases.

The second Fluxion effort on Chain Reaction unravels as an epic two discs, and while it seems an overly thorough exploration of a type of dubby techno, it in no way disappoints. Subtlety is the name of the game here, and Fluxion does it with effortless expertise. Fluid, shifting sounds weave in and out of multi-layered, off-kilter beats--which, while relatively simple in structure seem to endlessly realign themselves with multiple time signatures. Circa and Equilibrium are my racks of choice, but the two discs are better understood as a whole. Sublime, soporific, and excellent.
