Reviews & Discussion

Sure this record owes a debt to others, (See above review DOC SCOTT!) but does it smash up the dance? Big time! I remember hearing this for the first time after an allnight session. My friend had a copy & stuck it on at about 8 in the morning. The strings intro & guitar sounds lull you intoi a sense of serenity before the vocoder voice comes in then BOOM! The break & big daft hoover comes in & blows the top off your skull! You ever see the reaction this gets at a rave? Every time it guarantees the room to go MENTAL! Not clever but VERY BIG!

This track is usually highly overrated - it's just a copy of Doc Scott's Unofficial Ghost from 1996! Same notes, same patterns and sequences, only some particular samples have been replaced.

Signal is definately one of Fresh's best, but Big Love absolutely smashes it and is worth getting just for this flip alone

I risk to say that "Signal" is one of the best tunes ever made by Fresh alone. Very emotive and not just another tune to fill the night on the party. Fresh brings sense to the d'n'b scene and I think that he will be remembered for bringing some "fresh air" to the d'n'b, but that is almost certain in almost he's tunes.
