Reviews & Discussion

I really have to say that this is one of my favourite electro records ... Down under in 2000 (while the Olympic Games were on) I got to know this release by FRIENDLY through MTV and later on bought this MCD in a Second Hand Store in Melbourne ... Listening to it I just figured that all of the 4 versions had something to them ... Only No. 5 , the Clean Radio Edit, - a censored version ("I love you but if you treat me like Sh** you can just F*** O**") - does not make sense. I have to say that No. 4 (General Electrik RMX) I like best ... It's a very laid back trance version make you wanna smoke a blunt and forget about it all ... (What a pity there is no vinyl release out ... - it would be a must play on any minimal house set) ...

This is a brilliantly catchy piece of electronic music. With lyrics like "I love you, but if you treat me like shit you can just fuck off" it's pretty catchy and pretty cool. The whole "i love you section" makes you think it's a love song, then when the rest of the lyrics kick in, it becomes clear that it's got some guts.

I haven't heard the remixes so can't comment, but i imagine that the 'clean' version is pretty lame (lyrically speaking). Go for the un-cut version and here it as it was meant to be heard.
