Reviews & Discussion

Wonderful release! Galen Behr did not disappoint me yet. I'm a proud owner of all 3 releases by him @ Yakuza.
Original Mix is kind of my fav of these two. Tho very progressive & slow (129BPM), which is not really Galen Behr's usual speed, but it's great! That "bells" over the deeppad bassdrum before the break and main melody come in, so sweet! And when out of knowhere melody changes, awesome!
Remix is also very nice! Goes to the "usual" trance 138BPM and gives us a wonderful uplifting trip on that sweet melody from the Original. But it's quite the usual melodic uplifter (which is good, especially with that mello) and is nothing special really, so Original is the one that really stands out \o/!!

‘Carabella’ is one of my standout trance releases of 2006, which is all the more impressive considering the high standard of productions coming out during this year. ‘Carabella’ possesses a delightful main melody and, in the case of the Original Mix in particular, an exquisitely constructed breakdown. This release will appeal to both progressive and ‘orthodox’ trance fans alike, because the two contrasting mixes more than satisfy both tastes. The Original Mix is the more progressive, atmospheric number, building slowly but surely towards its majestical chorus, whilst the Galen Behr vs. Ørjan Nilsen Remix is the more ‘conventional’ trance mix, harnessing the main melody to create a faster, much more energetic production. Despite being only a matter of months old, in time this will surely be regarded as one of the finest all-round trance productions ever created, such is its quality. Highly recommended.
