Track 5 is spelled as "Doll's Polyphony" on the release.
To me the whole point i forked out as much peso as i did is simply to get 'Kaneda' - drums and chanting. Bring it on.
Battle Against Clown has what i would wager is the most violent inhaling ever recorded. And it has some madly plotted percussion. A little too disjointed for my taste though.
Tetsuo is a nice powerful track with err, powerful xylophone - yes folks it is possible.
I saw the movie about 6 times, thanks to SBS, before I bought the album and the pixie-like 'ba-dum' from the beginning of Doll's Polyphony and the giant-milk-bleeding-teddy-bears will live with me forever.
This is a quality release and hasn't dated too much since it was written in 1988/89.
The whole thing is good stuff.
Also the sort of stuff to sit in a 38th floor 5-star hotel suite slowly going mad as you watch your own Neo-Tokyo breathing below you in dirty neon splendour.
Err Yeah.
I paid $35 bucks for it - cos of its rarity here and don't regret it.
