Split maxi based on the first moon landing. General Magic take the original German TV broadcast and put it through some deep ambient treatments. Elin on the other hand delivers a dubby walkabout on the moons surface.
I find this release very pleasing although it was originally released in 1995 and I've owned since 6-7 hours!
Both General Magic's and Elin's tracks are very good each in it's own special way the first being more laid-back quirky ambience and the latter more up-tempo and dubby.
In fact I was amazed at how good this one turned out to be!
I should have more faith in Mego from now on! (No, I'm not receiving money checks from Pita!)
You have the impression to look the first landing on moon with humans live on your TV which its screen is broken, you only hear the comments and noises of this exciting moment. That may be one reason why this austrian label is respected by everyone in the world who is open for art in (electronic)music. Viva 1969 and General Magic!
