Gerald Mitchell's releases as a solo artist have made a huge impact on Detroit's house and techno. From his work on UR's Interstellar Fugitives project to his Celestial Highways classic on Metroplex and his early house productions on Soul City, Gerald's music has always been recognized by it's soulful strength. His work with DJ Rolando led to the anthem 'Knights of the Jaguar' and now, Los Hermanos. Resurrection EP features 'Resurrection', yet another anthem with a deeply layered groove that builds upon latin percussion and sweinging hi-hat patterns, setting up the listener for beautifully soaring strings and an incredible lead synth. The b-side 'Freedom Dancer' will be a staple of every DJ's crate with it's Samba style drums, rolling bassline and filtered 'Freedom' vocal. The Resurrection EP is a guaranteed floor filler.

"Freedom Dancer" is the most dance friendly track to come off of Los Hermanos so far. It manages to use a "hook" to full effect while leaving behind the cheese that often accompanies generic floor fillers. It is definently a cross over song that is true to the nature of the label; to "destroy the boundaries between house and techno."
