This EP and the Gherkin Jerks releases in general are some of Larry Heard's most sought after productions, and a departure from his more familiar style (i.e. Mr Fingers, Fingers Inc. and The It). Gherkin has been an outlet for his more techno-orientated productions, and all cuts on this EP are more experimental in feel. For me the b-side stands out for me the most "Strange Creatures" is definately the best cut on the record, with some great windpipe sounds that give a very eerie feel to the track. A very deep record - essential!
