Listen to the Gimmik remix of PSI Performer's '1995' track, and then tell me who you think did this Unknown release... All in all, quite a different release for Toytronic. One certainly can't listen to this 12" and say all Toytronic music sounds the same. You can listen to it and say "all Toytronic is good," though!

I forget where I heard this, but I'm pretty sure this is Monolake (sounds reasonable also given their sound.)

Regardless this is a gorgeous 12"... takes me back to simpler days when it wasn't all about adding clicks in tracks for complexity... proof that beauty is simplicity... I wish this was longer!

First track has a nice uppity beat and is quite lush, lots of detail put into this one.. VERY chill, makes me think of Kaito or something else to come out on Kompakt (that well talked about, "Cologne sound")

Second track has some nice sounding radio tuning, and a BEAUTIFUL rolling bassline at the start, this is my favourite of the two, a sublime track, gorgeous synths coming in at the second half as well... wonderful!!! :)

Pick this one up if you can, well worth it! Good job (???)(Monolake?) :)

Keep it up Toytronic.

This release is awesome. Heavyweight wax with a superb soundquality. Berlin dub sounding techno, Deep bassss ,wibbly sounds and than suddenly there is the theme. Vague but very dancable. Than there is also the b side left too....... Just great !!

Sounds very much like what Chain Reaction would put out in 1994-1995. Minimal feel with reverb/echo on the synth. Doesn't sound much like Toytronic's usual light IDM style.
