Northern Rise (W.J. Henze Remix)
Remix – W.J. Henze* |

And now he's back with another tight release. Northern Rise is a techno missile of the highest order which goes absolutely berserk three minutes and some change into the track, with a short siren snippet and a superb melody bursting out of nowhere.
The flip side has Sub Wave, which just like the A side monster, has a devastatingly pulsating drive, which will just push you on the dance floor whether you're willing to give your bones a shake or not. It has a really hard hitting kick with a distorted sound repeating itself at first and then at the 02:40 mark a whinning hook slowly crawls in and takes over for the remaining part. Bloody impressive, and amazing to drive the crowd into the ground.
The WJ Henze remix, while being an adequate DJ tool, fails to keep up with the standard of either one of the Wilson tracks. Unfortunately so, as the other two tracks are prime techno cuts, namely Northern Rise which screams "I could give a f**k if you don't like it", and tears heads off. Great music!
