Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5
Review by TheTreeTribe Sep 04, 2009
Well, well, well ! No reviews for a truly EPIC album. This came out about the time I had just visited my first few parties outside Bombay and in Goa. I was about 15, and this CD was like instantaneous TNT for my brain ;) Besides the nostalgic, sentimental value it carries for me, I'll try and write an objective review.

Overall, a rather good, fresh selection of tracks. Avatar and Slide open the album with some proper crunchers for the (acid)dancefloor. Psycho by IM might sound a bit cheesy today and IM bashers will love to state how IM is incapable of producing anything good, but I guess this is where we'd have to agree to disagree. I quite liked IM's first 2 albums, and this track was cutting-f*cking-edge at the time. It instantly blew me away. Alot of kids I knew bought the album simply for this track. Moving on, the rest of the tracks are quite enjoyable, with some big names such as ManMadeMan and Electric Universe.

The Section X track stands out for me. Objectively, I'd give this album a 4/5 stars as it was extremely fresh and new sounding at the time of its release, however, due to the memories it invokes (Disco Valley with Gil on the decks blasting), my rating for it is in fact a 5/5 !
