Green Nuns, another monster psy-act of the goa area that unfortunately ended too soon. The Rock Bitch Mafia album of 1997 is hailed as one of the best albums the goa movement ever produced, right up with the works of Hallucinogen and early Etnica. This 12" on Dragonfly gives us a peak at their earlier work. Rock Bitch was very much a goofy album, by comparision, Kwo-Ne-She is a much more straight up track. As with pretty much all of Dragonfly's releases of this period, we are in straight up old school goa mode here. All the famous Green Nun's elements are here, although perhaps not quite to the full boil of Rock Bitch Mafia. Regardless it is still a good track.
Creaked is more of the same. Perhaps a bit less full on as Kwo-Ne-She, it is nice moody track with a pretty groovy old bass line. Optimum Creakage shows more clearly signs of what was to come from Green Nuns, with deeper bass, somewhat crazier synthlines, and a few of those random Green Nuns noises and odd short breaks.
