La La Land, what a great track, hard jacking Chicago beats with tongue in cheek lyrics about pill popping...

Not what you get here. I've owned maybe 20,000 records in my life with some dire remixes in there but the Futureshock remix is by far the worst remix I have ever heard. Truly they have slaughtered a great tune with a real travesty of a remix. The question is how can you turn something as great as La La Land into a weedy Muppet Trance track? It just beggars belief... Well the answer is you take a weak Muppet Trance track and play a bit of the accapella over the Muppet Trance track. Brilliant Futureshock, your skills are dazzling!

Who are Futureshock? No idea but I see their name a lot in the 50p bins. Kings of the 50p bin, kings of the wack remix. Well done Futureshock. You muppets.

I'll never forget that tall MC with his green punky haircut singing 'I hope to see you soon in - La La Land' during Green Velvet's live performances!
That record is sorted in my collection under the category "good laugh for sure", along with Mr Oizo's 'Flat Beat'. Not everybody likes it, but most of us have this nostalgic smile on our face, thinking "aaaah, the good old days" ...

Whatever one might tlink of Green Velvet's Smash Hit La La Land, you can't deny it was very successful. Played out too much probably-so i don't wanna talk about. It's the Geo Vogt Remix that deserves special attention After many years i played this remix again last weekend on a fat PA and whoahh, what a revelation. The vocals are so in ya face, while the beats ar bangin'- so that everything is just perfect. Never heard of Geo Vogt before or after this remix, but he delivered by far the best Remix of La La Land. This EP is the one to get from the many La La Land 12"es.

Big remixpackage for this slight legendary tune. Dave Clarke & Thomas Krome keeps it techno as usual but where as Krome infuses a subtle housey undertone Clarke goes straight on, using the vocal wisely. Francois K & Rob Rives goes deep and keeps it chilly and spacy with well implyed sounds. Zzino & Filterheadz goes for a techy with a borderlining trancy vibe and goes for the triballoopmethods as heavily used by the Filterheadz boys. Which more or less means nothing new here, banging remix though.

The Kid Kenobi remix is easily the best heard out of the many and various attempts to better the crunchingly fantastic original. Definitley one for the party breaks crowd (as caned by Krafty Kuts) and just WAIT for that breakdown! Absoluteley awesome.

Cool minimalist techno from Green Velvet. Brilliant in-your-head vocal. Need I say any more? 10/10

Don't believe the hype!!

It's just a simple hard beat with stupid MDMA-vocals that don't really fit to the rest of the track. Seems to me like a previous B-Side ;-)
