I like this EP a lot. I've always been a big fan of that twisted funky Classic Music Sound, but recently most of the releases were just too leftsided for my taste. This Song with DJ Colette's beautiful Vocals makes that difference. The first Greens Keepers version is funky, well crafted , but short enogh to play "Keep It Down" on the radio.
Rob Mello adds one ogf his typical twisted electro grooves that add the typical CMC feel to this EP and will definitey satisfy most long time Classic Music Fans.
The Highlight though is the fine MEMBERS ONLY Remix by the west coast musicians from KASKADE; reminding me of the finest moments on Naked Music!
The Dragon Tear Mix by the Greens Keepers themselves takes this composition to the next level with the craziness, they are best known for, since their smashes "Why Should I Sing Like This" or "What's My Man Gotta Do With Gan".
"Keep It Down" might sound too straight for some Classic Music Fans, but has undeniable cross-over potential so that it's already played by DJ Hell, Mandy, Ivan Smagghe, Tom Middleton, Doc Martin, DJ Sneak, Groove Armada, Ewan Pearson, Kenny Hawkins and many more big names from the UK, that got it as a Pre-Release.
