This album is pure magic to me. Ethereal drones that swarm and fade like a breeze, major chords and washes of harmony that drown the world outside and make everything softer and more gradual. The exeptional highlight for me is campestral (version 2) which thank god is also the longest track on the album. Sounding like an echo of memory, a sweet sorrw that yearns for something lost. Simply beautiful and essential. Although Davis has rarely returned to this sound world (which to me is a pity)his music is always interstingly experimental drawing inspiration from field recordings, experimental music and acoustic instrumentation which is then interpolated into something new and different.
