A brilliant example of Ambient House as it was in early 90. This remix of Floatation is a beautiful ballad on ambient sounds, really evocative of a still travel in sensations. Either beautiful and melodic. And to add to the pleasure, you got on the flip "Islamatron" which, IMO, is even a better ambient piece. Soft broken beat with a muslim voice coming for far away, this is a hell of a deep emotional track.
The Grid later come onto more and more UK housey things, like their next LP "456", and IMO never got as great in this ambient house territory as on this one, except for "Crystal Clear".

This band are probably remebered for their more uptempo tracks like Texaas Cowbaoy and Swamp Thing ...although these tracks are top notch, they pale into insignificance when compared to this Legendary track...it definately reeks of the "Balearic Sound" of the late 80's early 90's....it does have comparisions with Bocca Juniors-Raise and A Man Called Adam-Barefoot...it sits at about 110 bpm..deep bassline ...husky female vocal that sounds like she is whispering sweet nothings.."Floating on the Land..Floating in the Sea..take my hand ..and come with me"....then to top it off it has a lazy flute that is the icing on the cake...it has probably been on every Ibiza compilation going ...but who give a toss it's still a shining example of Mr Weatherall excellent production and his knack of turning good tracks into timeless anthems...
