I'm a bit torn about what to make of this froggy concept album. It starts out with an incredibly atmospheric yet haunting ambient piece punctured by distant calling frogs, and draws you in with a near mesmerizing effect. Unfortunately the impression is quickly shattered come the following tracks, which are gruesomely quirky and experimental instead. Gone is the magic and I get the feeling a group of musicians turned up at the studio to jam, but nobody bothered to pay any attention to what the others were doing. And when Hanna starts her wailing on top it really becomes unbearable. It picks up a bit again towards the end, but nothing comes close to the magic of 'The Forest Made of Rain and Frogs', which remains a (much too short) masterpiece.
