Nice album! This is the first hip hop album, to my mind, which features live guest appearences of legendary Jazz-Funk or Soul-Jazz musicians like Donald Byrd, Roy Ayers and Lonnie Liston Smith. The idea or concept of the album was back then (i.e. in the early nineties) considered as a progression over just sampling jazz. Some really nice tunes on it. Check "Lougin'", "Down the Backstreets", "Le Bien, le Mal" and "Trust me".

This album was so refreshing to me - finally an album that wasn't promoting shooting and violence, and had a nice feel to it. The jazz elements make the album what it is, but Guru does have a great skill that most rappers can't even check with. His colaborations with MC Solaar are great, and Donald Byrd is a nice touch too. A nice album which you should really have in your collection.
