Hefner's 2001 release of Residue is the quintessential downtempo album to date IMHO. One step above Zero7's Simple Things. I can't get sick of this recording. I recommend it as an excellent starting point for the downtempo beginner. However, it still seems to be a difficult album to obtain. I find this a very laid back, chillin album. Conservative some parts, experimental other, all good.
