The Frankie Knuckles remixes have gotten all the media and dancefloor attention, but it has been the Serge Santiago take that has piqued my interest the most. Beginning with Anthony's stripped back vocal on a minimal tech-house tip, the track patiently builds over several minutes, with arpeggios and swirling atmospeherics that ebb and flow, teasing you into expecting a kick ass drop. But Serge resists this obvious temptation and eventually opens the track up to become a delicious haze of reverberating effects, acid burbles and drawn-out sirens. Nothing like the other mixes and all the more interesting for it.

Head straight for the Frankie Knuckles mix (with a little help from Eric Kupper no less) for a sublime, disco-tinged groove. Cute, uplifting horns & a dreamy, soulful vocal from Antony Hegarty mean it's a challenge not to sing or dance along. Infectious.

The single also comes with a full length version by Hercules themselves and bonus track Shadows.

The self-titled debut album (on release through DFA from 10 March 2008)looks set to help light our way in 2008.
