A pretty catchy and retro sounding record. Enough Italo Disco, acid house , funk and synth pop for everyone. Nothing new but its like listening to a cover drag queen cover band from the 80's. A few songs sound like early Grace Jones. Like Answers in Dreams. And thats not a bad thing but definitely flamboyant music for a disco club. Painted Eyes might be the standout track and kicks it off the record nicely. If this track was made in 1983 it would be heralded as a classic. Leonora is another italo classic sounding one. As is Falling as well. My House grooves a fonky acid house circa Trax Records 1988. This should get anyone on the dance floor. Excellent. Step up is another acid house track that moves into euro house of the early 90's. I can't wait is also an funky house mover for the dance floor. It's Alright cover is a nice try and great idea to do it in a version like how they did it but its not as successful as it could have been. As the comment below notes, this mastering and pressing is dissapointing. Depth and volume equal to a 1985 record. Maybe it was purposely done? Still, it really hurt the spectrum and depth of these sounds. Indeed sad
this Vinyl isn't mastered for club use... so sad! :-(
