Having listening to this record surely over a hundred times for the last five-or-so years, I still get shocked in awe. The quirky melodies and needle-point rhythm patterns they deploy throughout this "tech-ambient" (dubby at times) journey is indescribable. I'm glad I have gotten my hands on a copy of this!
I also think it has to be noted that this was made in 1995 - some material probably even earlier. This is some high-quality engineering, folks! Think Shulman and Bluetech, 12 years ago - simply amazing.
Bobby and his fellow freethinkers truly stand by their guise of choice - this is The Higher Intelligence Agency at their best.
This album is a true masterpiece. Though it may seem a bit flat at the first listening, being recorded in 1995 it has an extraotdinary depth in the use of ambient effects and drum patterns. There is a constant disquieting feeling that makes this record different from all other ambient soundscapes (à la Namlook, so to speak). I really recommend several listenings to those who found it predicatble or meaningless at the first try.
