One of those CDs I always find myself going back to. It sounds great either when I'm chillin' or getting ready for a night out, and more than a few times it has lifted me from a "down" mood! Halo & Hipp-E show their true understanding of what real house music means, taking in various vibes and styles along the way and never once losing your attention. On a par with their awesome Radio 1 Essential Mix from 2002.

Craig Richards Fabric aside, this is the next best in all of the Fabric Series. It's just a really good, fairly varied, solid house work out. Hippe and Halo cover lots of ground here, from a jazzy opening, into some funked out beats courtesy of the Swag boys. The vocal from Scoper and Bubba might not be the most popular part of this disc, but it sure adds some variety and a good bridging track to Freakinought which bounces and bumps along in a funky booty shaking manner. The mixing's none too shoddy either as you can hear as Time by Hanna comes in, this isn't your average 4 bar mixing between two tracks, a long smooth flowing mix which can be heard elswhere on the disc. At this point the disc gets a little more teched out and moody a seductive female vocal enters the fray. Seafoam and Guided Method fill in with some laidback smokey percusssion setting the mood for Simon et Bolivard with rich vocal underpinned by a tight bassline with hard punchy drums and techy stabs. Again we see the pairs flair for solid flowing mixing as Midnight by Solaris Heights breaks through. The highpoint of the mix, delicious male vocal ( none to sure why its called the dub mix) a really lovely blissed out piece of deep house to get lost in. Following on into Long Deep Decay and When I fall In Love there's more of a hint of a late night dancefloor feel slightly raised tempo but still deep but not quite as moody. Lakeshore Dr then picks up where Solaris Heights left off chilled out vocal with some nice squelchyness going on in the background, makes you think of sun-drenched beaches with cocktails. A finale from Ernest Saint Laurent does the mix utter justice - a really happy piece of music. You can see hear there's an all encompassing house mix a range of influencs funky in the right places, not overly techy, always interesting, good balance of vocal/non voacl tracks. A definite grower, a certain keeper always a winner. Not really fair to make comparisons with their Nitelife or Destination Australia discs, simply because all three are very different.
