Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5
Review by dj_descent Sep 05, 2007 (edited over 2 years ago)
This, for my money is one of the best bonkers releases. This came out when the hardcore scene was on the decline, hence the name 'The Rezurrection'.
Hixxys cd Takes you through the best (at the time) new school happy hardcore. Your shinning and just acept it were realesed on this album which became two massive hits. The mixing is flawless.
Sharkeys cd came out a few years after freeform had started being produced. The tracks seem to have a more darker fell than the newer freeform.
Sy's cd has got to be the single best oldskool happyhardcore mixes that i have ever herd. The track selection is perfect. The is just the right balance of cheesy, trancey and boncey techno tunes to make this work. The scratching is placed perfectly and he does not go too over the top. The intro (boom and pow) scratching is soo good that the first time i herd i i thought it was part of the song. The mixes are clean with a few tricks here and there.
In all a awsome cd if you want to hear where the new skool happy hardcore sound started with hixxy's cd. Or where freeform began with sharkeys cd. Or to hear where is all came from with sy's oldskool mix
