This is the best work to date in my opinion from Horizon 222. Has all the great elements of Zoviet France.
This LP reminds me of some of Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia sounds. Very mellow ambient trance, with strong dub and experimental textures.
Tracks like "Spirit Level" and "Touch" are pure trance bliss. "Beyond The Horizon" and "Ancesto" have a sublime dub sound.
"Three Of Swans" (recorded not long after this)is a solid release, but "Through The Round Window" is a true masterpiece of ambient/trance/dub/electronica music.
This is an extremely high-quality experimental record from 1992. In my opinion it's just as important as anything that FSOL or The Orb ever did although it seemed to largely be ignored at the time.
It goes from a nice trancey groover to dub to some downright bizarre noisey/experimental type stuff that you would expect from Zoviet France. The whole thing has a very murky/dingy analogue quality to its production (obviously very pre-digital) that I appreciate. Nigel Ayers is definitely one of the unsung heroes of electronic music.
