Travelogue seems like the crucible of music yet to come! Every time, I dig up this cold, sterile treasure, I discover references to (of course earlier artists as well) later artists/tracks. Seems like, this one is successfully trying to console the industrial- and the mainstream-electronic world. What an epiphany! To me Travelogue will always be the most influential album of 1980! Black Hit Of Space was, is and always will be a KILLER! Dreams Of Leaving still kind of scares the living crap out of me! Holy Mackerel!

Cold wave didn't get much better than this. How can a record sound cold, danceable, clever and deep all at once? I know it's a tough question, but the answer is right here.
Being Boiled still fits perfectly in any decent DJ-set nowadays - and you don't even have to adjust the pitch. Black Hit of Space is tantalizing and disturbing. Dreams of Leaving is quasi-epic. There is not a bad track on this record, and all in all, Travelogue is heaven for analog synths' fans.

One of the best electronic albums period. This was before they added those horrid girls. This album is a precursor to synth-driven industrial and electronic pop. I've mixed this in with some more recent Missy Elliott trax and it always sits well. Totally overlooked classic. Electro-clash is constantly trying to make great tracks like this.
