As the reviewer above said the bassline in Rainbows In The Sky is brilliant - truly hypnotic. What I love about the song is how heavy and unrelenting it is at the start which leads to the 'release' of the 'hands in the air' opera stabs and pads in the latter parts of the song to be very dramatic and contrasting.

The bass in Death By Dub is great - fizzy and menacing.
The rap samples in it can all be found on Amerikkka's Most Wanted by Ice Cube:

Rainbows In The Sky is my alltime fav tune, BIG sounding Rave madness by the Hypnotist.
This is the tune they have to play @ my funeral!

The Original mix borrows from Afrika Bambaataa's Planet Rock and Fade To Black - In Synch.
A great tune with Bleeps, Screams and a real Hypnotist mumbling some words.
Hands in the air stabs, spooky voice pads and that lovely synth pattern they sampled of Fade To Black and a killer bassline to complete the madness.
It builds and it builds untill ya can't escape the energy anymore, total XTC!

'Let It Go, Hold It To The Mental Count Of 4, Let It Go, Because That's The Only Way I Know, That You'll Find Love And Peace And Happiness And Rainbows in The Sky'

What a fookin' rush!

The Natural High mix is a good Deep House version of the Original mix.

Nice warm strings, deep bassline, nice drum programming and that lovely voice sample also used on New London School Of Electronics - Voices Of The Rainforest.
It just fits in perfectly.

'Like A Rainbow In The Sky, They Just Came Passing By'

From the both versions of Death By Dub it is the Original mix that is the best.

The intro starts with some niggaz making troubles wich results in a gunfight (damn where is this stolen from?) and goes on to become a wicked Techno track.

That bassline is just going crazy and the beat programming is giving it it's flava it needs.
Add some bleeps and some 'GANGSTA' samples and you got a dark tune that is unique and one of a kind!

'You Got Any Last Words?......YEAH, YEAH... I Got Some Last Words!... FUCK ALL YA!'

For a better Remix of Death By Dub then on this 12" find Dub Collective - The Head EP Vol. 1.
