Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5
Review by LHC Dec 31, 2004 (edited over 4 years ago)
The mix starts with an introductory track "Eden" which is as best described dreamy-yet-funky. Metro Area (one of my favourite artists) steps up the tempo a tad with "Caught Up". The next flurry of tracks keep the mood simple-sexy-soulful up until you hit Mood II Swing's "Call me" followed by two incredibly pumping-yet-smooth tracks "Da Vegas" and "Cheap Heat".
The mix borrows Derrick Cater's remix of Blaze's "My Beat" to break things up before moving onto more Tech-House oriented tracks like the man's "900 degrees" and Technasia's "Evergreen I". The end is like the beginning. Dreamy-funky-smooth.
The best thing about it IMO is the fact that its recorded live. The sound quality, feel and energy from a live mix can be found in this release. Nowadays computer mixing which sounds too perfect has become dull and at best too predictable!!
A release, which will always hold its own. THANK YOU IAN!!!
