Ice-T, Glove, The* & Dave Storrs* ‎– Reckless / Tebitan Jam

Original breakdance. Superb. Get that lino out!

I remember buying my original copy on taxidermi back in around 1990/91 from a mail order catolgue specialising in old school wax. I always assumed it was from 1984, but I understand it was issued in 1990. The copy I own has a small yellow label (unbroken) that is stuck over a white label. As far as I know this is the first pressing om taxidermi, but I might be wrong. I've only ever found one other copy like that since then. Regardless of what pressing you have this is certainly a classic and although the vocal versions are dope, the instrumental version of 'reckless' remains one of my favourite tracks of all time.

Possibly one of the coolest and rarest of Ice T jams from the early 80s.. this 12 is slightly different than the breakdance movie soundtrack version and the one featured on the uk 12".

With the crazy cuts from Dave storrs and booming electro beats, this song has to go as a classic and tibetan jam featured im sure on many a b boy cassette as a rare cut which wasnt featured on the breakdance sound track.

One to keep forever if like me your lucky enough to own one..

In my opinion, without a doubt the roughest, tightest electro hip hop jam of all time. If you have one ounce of b-boy in you, these beats make you want to boogie so hard you pop a blood vessel. Absolutely ridiculously ill and classic. If I could give this a 10 out of 5 I would. I had never heard Tibetan Jam until like a couple years ago and that one is off the meter as well. ELECTRO MADNESS!!!

This is what electro is. After a decade, sadly electro trying to be introduced once again with electro clash and lately electro house. C'mon clash ahs nothing to do with electronic music and please don't make house music sound cheap by puttinh electro before it. Everybody lived electro 20 years ago. And this vinyl has always been the best reference for the past, present and future.
One thing I'm curious with this is that you can hear the acid sound in the track how come in that year?! Anyway everything is great in that production, perfect!

I picked this up on New Year's Day, 1992. Little bit of trivia for Dynamix II fans and sample hunters... the beginning of the Tibetan Jam instrumental is the beat behind the part in Dynamix II's Ignition that goes "What's the situation now? I don't know. I don't know." The other track in there is "State Farm" by Yaz.

I'm not exactly sure when this re-issue came out, but it's amazing. This is the one to get! Forget the original on Polydor. This version has instrumental versions of the two tracks, and they are both amazing. Especially "Tebitan Jam." The vocal version is great, but without the spoken lyrics it becomes a completely new experience. All in all, this is probably one of the greatest old-school electro jams. This record is right up there with Al-Naafiysh and Planet Rock.
