These remixes are great additions to the original track, PMT bringing the bass, and High Contrast proving again how beautiful drum'n'bass can be. That remix, like other High Contrast reworkings, surpasses the original. If only he could do the same for all his own work.

For the original "No Soul" track, Ils samples from LTJ Bukem's "Watercolours" (on the album from 2000, Journey Inwards), adding on quite well. Where LTJ Bukem's original was slightly funky instrumental, Ils has some decent vocals, with emotion to fit the piece. While the remixes add even more, the original track still holds its ground.
