Notes

Some copies of this EP were released with plain black labels, but most had printed labels.

Not to be confused with the unreleased EP with the same catalogue number but different tracks. This EP was released as 43 ird ins 2 after Lee Purkis requested that an untitled solo EP with the same catalogue number be replaced by this collaborative project with Pluto. 3 test pressings were manufactured of the solo EP before the release was abandoned in favour of "Ratcatcher". "Ratcatcher" has 3 tracks, all of which are different to the 2 tracks on the unreleased EP.

Run-out groove reads: "Part 1 of 3, yes this is what you have been missing..Insync we return triumphant".

The epic "Subway Route" is the laid-back, lesser-known cousin of The Martian's "Star Dancer", released the same year. Where the latter has an intense, peak-hour vibe, the former has, despite being about the same tempo and using some of the same thematic elements, a far more stretched-out, coming-down feel, all rounded and spacious, with more of a bassline groove. It's strikingly good, something I'm proud to own on vinyl.
