Programmed is one of my favourite Carl Craig projects. Touching on jazz, via house, Detroit techno and hip hop, it's an album that brings many styles together. Favourites include a reworked version of At Les, that's much more jazzy than the one that appears on the In Order To Dance 5 compilation. Manufactured Memories which has a guest spoken vocal from Steve Rachmad and was done live for 10 days of techno and People make the world go round, which reminds me of an old Mr Fingers song in its style and delivery.

The second track "Manufactured Memories" was recorded live @ 10 Days of Techno '98 (now called 10 Days Off) in Gent (Belgium) & features Steve Rachmad (a.k.a. Sterac, Ignacio,...) saying in Dutch : "We came from another galaxy to control your mind. We came from another planet to puzzle with your brain and when we put it back together, nothing will be left."

Watch out for this record. The whole album has funky jazz arrangements with a little 70ies flavour, highlight is the piano track "At Les" (B4), a true classic. A very, very sensitive music! This is surely a Carl Craig masterpiece.
