Reviews & Discussion

This is without a doubt one of the finest EP´s I´ve heard, a real classic in my book. Intense brought us some of the smoothest, darkest, most intelligent jungle/d&b there was back in the mid nineties. I believe this came out in early ´94 (or perhaps late ´93), so there´s some remains of that good old darkside sound made popular by the Reinforced crew, Goldie, Doc Scott and other pioneers of breakbeat.

The best of the EP´s four tracks in my opinion is "Time Space Continuem" with it´s eerie samples (from Alien or Hellraiser I think) and frantic beats - followed closely by the soothing title track, "The Genesis Project". The other two are also brilliant but not quite as good as the aforementioned two tunes. I especially think the original mix of "The Quickening" is the better version. Anyways, be sure to check out this EP, if you haven´t yet that is...
