Absolutely gorgeous release by Sam Beam from Florida. 12 tracks with only one or two guitars and his voice, with a few exceptions. But even though the minimalistic production, this is a monumental work! Bean's guitar-playing is outstanding, and together with his smooth voice it sometimes gives me goosebumps. The best examples are the two with the saddest melodies: "Cinder & Smoke" and "Fever Dream".
It was through "Fever Dream" I got to hear about Iron & Wine. It was on Devendra Banhart & Friends rare album "Golden apples of the sun" and was together with Johanna Newson's "Bridges and balloons" the best!

Anyways, this is a pure summer-album, filled with emotions. Perfect album to fall in love with a girl to... =P
