Reviews & Discussion

My favorite Iszoloscope release. Originall these 5 tracks were going to be released under Iszo's side-project (which was actually called Les Gorges Des Limbes), but that never came to be and he released it underneath the Iszoloscope tag. Unlike the other Iszo albums, this one has no beats, no loud sounds, and no rhythm of melody. Pure dark ambience. The 3 chapitre tracks stretch out to about 15 minutes each, while the english labeled tracks are kind of like interludes. Think alone lost in the woods, think dark, think scary. This hour of music is some of the creepiest ambience i've ever heard. A couple voice samples from movies are thrown in to make it that much more creepy. Turn the lights off when you're alone and pop it in...

Basically 1 really long track. All 5 tracks fuse and connect into eachother. No one track really stands out as super different from the other. The chapter tracks and about 15 minutes long each and are the best parts of this CD in my opinion. The other 2, are kind of interludes or mini versions of those long 3. This music is minimal ambient with creepy sounds thrown in. Its probably what a soundtrack to The Blair Witch Project would sound like.

An interesting note on this album is that it was created back in 1999 and was intended to be released as a side project. However, in 2004, he decided to release it under the Iszoloscope title.
