According to hip-hop/bass artist Byron Davis, the original production for the track "Supersonic" was programmed by Davis and close friend Special K on a Roland-808 drum machine and transferred onto a 4-track recorder in the apartment room of J.J. Fad's M.C. J.B. in Riverside, California as the other members wrote their verses to it. After the group got signed onto Dream Team Records (and later Ruthless) production credit was given to Arabian and DJ Yella, yet Byron Davis claims that the updated version sounds only slightly different than his first inception of the song.
