I'm a relatively new fan of JPL, but his stuff is really growing on me, particularly Progressive Trance of this nature.
"Whenever I May Find Her (Joni Remix)" is quite something. The chorus has a very strong presence and is also quite edgy and dramatic, in a way, which kind of makes sense in regards to the title.
"Escapism" is pure bliss. A calm, floaty piece of Prog that just lets you drift away into the song. Again, the title really goes with what the song is trying to, shall we say, "narrate".
An amazing release, that's for sure. "Escapism" being my favourite. Too much Progressive these days tries to be like House or Electro. I prefer the much more chilled and ambient Progressive. The sort of "classic" Progressive Trance that was present in the early days of the Anjunadeep label. Both songs on this release are a recommended listen!
