Caron Wheeler'screaming and the breaks line of Soul II Soul's "Keep On Moving" (which they say the original was taken from "The Jam" by Graham Central Station, 1976) are the spine of "Moments In Soul", and the melodies, originally from the all time classic "Moments In Love" (1985) from The Art Of Noise, are the Soul of J.T. & The Big Family's hit. On the drop, the powerful drums are sampled from "When The Levee Breaks" by Rock & Roll legendary band Led Zeppelin (the proper credits must be given to the drummer John Bonham, considered the best of his era).
"Moments In Soul" tune reflects a period when good music could be created mainly through classical samples (just like the other smashing hits Chad Jackson's "Hear The Drummer Get Wicked" and Silver Bullet's "Bring Forth The Guillotine"). It became an instant hit on the dancefloors around 1990, played Worldwide just like DJ Mau Mau on U.S. Beef & Rock, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
