Notes

Originally released in 1991. The box cover claims: "71 Songs Including Many Rare Or Previous Unreleased Tracks" but there is no difference to the 1991 musical content. Compared to the original release of this box set, the new 2007 version now contains a 96-page, rather than 64-page book with biography, discography and track notes. None of the text content seems to have been updated though since 1991 and no reference is being made to Mr. Brown having died almost a year prior to the re-release. The essays still finish with the sentence: "We haven't yet heard the last of James Brown. With enough soul to burn, this man's gonna do it to death."
