Jazzanova proved so right in taking the best ingredients of the 60s/70s soul and jazz with a hint of pop at its best.

They master it all. They go far enough, just enough for the tracks to feel confident and fresh, but not too far for them to start sounding cheezy. The classically soulful arrangements, reminiscent of the subtlety of a Marvin Gay production with the smooth, but crispy sound and delicate instrumentation, everything working great right down to the lyrics.

This record feels like that special breezy summer day when you feel in the air that something fantastic is going to happen. A day you remember.

The album is similarly uplifting, soothing and moving. Above all, its effortlessly life-affirming.

My favourite Jazanova record to date.
