Jean-Luc of course in fine form, but the real highlights onthis album for me are the side men he brought in to assist. Allan Holdsworth! This was the first album I ever heard him play on believe it or not - I thought I was listening to Joe Satriani. Almost needless to say that Holdsworth is faultless on this recording, but listen out for great performances from Randy Jackson (of Idol fame) at the height of his powers gelling immaculately with the legendary drummer Rayford Griffin on some very modern sounding beats. Also a synth cameo from the awesome George Duke (sometime Zappa virtuoso and funkster extraordinaire) on track 3.

A prolific composer capable of creating amazingly exiting music from his violin & synthesizer performances, Jean-Luc Ponty brought in this album a ground breaking masterpiece called "Computer Incantations For World Peace", whose synth melodies and chords full of emotion became what we call a reference for many electronic music producers since then.

On the same decade it was composed "Computer Incantations For World Peace" was sampled and used as a soundtrack such the one of an educational TV sery; most surprisingly, its main keyboard lines were used according to the ultra-expert Flavio Alberto on 'Underground Resistance - Journey Of The Dragons'.

Jean-Luc Ponty made in "Individual Choice" a beautiful compendium of ambient, moody and aesthetic compositions putting together the futuristic electronic lines with other instruments such as guitars, bass, drums and specially his personal trademark, the violin lines.
