Although seemingly having a Disques Dreyfus Catalog#, this release must be a Bootleg, as only one copy was released. Jarre destroyed the Master tapes afterwards.

This release is obviously a BOOTLEG as there was only one copy of this release made, and then the master tapes were destroyed by Jarre. The music was recorded as the soundtrack to an Art exhibition, with the one copy being auctioned off for charity.
The dreyfus web site will verify that this is not an official release.

I doubt that the actual master tapes were burned as tracks from Music For Supermarkets later appeared on Zoolook and Rendez Vous. This means that either the master tapes were kept OR Jean-Michel borrowed the vinyl from whoever had bought it and re-recorded it.
