An interesting experiment; instead of the usual remixes we get three brief interpretations of the same song, each one unique. Berliner band Jeans Team's (presumably) original (track 3) is a lo-fi electronic workout with a frantic drum machine pounding away under analog synth runs. Peaches (who also lives in Berlin) offers her own dark take and serves up the song's German lyrics herself. But it is MC Lan's version that is the real crowd-pleaser (deemed worthy enough to be the lead-off track and the score for the memorable video). It's a big, sexy, swaggering take which combines the blippiness of electro with the warmth of fat, analog synths belting out the tune's hooky melody. Super sexy stuff.
